Stainless steel 309/309S bolts are made primarily of chromium (23-26%) and nickel (13-17%), providing excellent oxidation resistance and strength at high temperatures. They have excellent corrosion resistance and, for thermal expansion, up to 1,100°C (2). Mechanical properties ideal for environments up to 012°F) include high tensile strength and creep resistance. Advantages include durability under extreme conditions, corrosion resistance and durability in harsh environments, making it suitable for use in furnaces, medicine and manufacturing at high temperatures.
